Chocolaty Easter! Did Cadbury just win at 'Emotional' Marketing?!
As an international student pursuing higher education in the UK, I have had the privilege of immersing myself in a new culture and participating in novel experiences. Recently, I celebrated Easter for the first time and had the opportunity to engage in an Easter hunt, which proved to be a truly unforgettable experience.
As a student far from home, partaking in a local tradition such as the Easter hunt helped me feel connected to the community and winning the biggest hamper at the event was a wonderful feeling.
As a marketing student, I could not help but draw parallels between my Easter experience and the way brands leverage nostalgia and sentimentality to establish a sense of belonging among consumers. My own excitement on winning the Easter hamper - filled with many Cadbury chocolates - is a testament to the emotional connection that the brand has built with its consumers.
If there is a brand that knows how to do Easter campaigns well, it is Cadbury, the King of Chocolate. Being the creator of the ‘Creme Egg’, we would expect nothing less.
Cadbury is known for its exceptional marketing campaigns during the Easter season, which have successfully created an emotional connection with its consumers. Through the clever use of nostalgia and sentimentality, the brand has associated its chocolates with Easter and effectively cultivated a loyal fanbase eagerly anticipating the release of its Easter collection each year.
Cadbury's marketing efforts have successfully established a sense of excitement among consumers with each year's release, making it a highly anticipated event. The brand's Easter marketing campaigns are a prime example of how holidays and traditions can be great tools to create lasting brand loyalty.
In conclusion, my Easter experience in the UK, particularly my win of the Cadbury-filled Easter hamper, has underscored the power of emotional connections in marketing.
Happy Easter!
